I haven't yet seen "Mayor of Sunset Strip", and it won't be on DVD until August, but here's my question. On The Bangles' board, "Return Post", Michael Steele asks what people think of the way Cherie Currie is treated in the movie "Mayor of Sunset Strip". My friend Ellen is a Bangle freak, and knows that I'm a Runaways nut, so she asked me what this meant. I haven't seen the movie, so I don't know. I don't know if Michael means anything negative, or if she means something about Cherie's screen time, or what. But I haven't seen the movie, and wonder if any of you know what she might mean. For that matter, is Cherie in it alot? Is there a decent amount of time devoted to The Runaways?
Now I'm even more CURRIEous about that movie!
I've heard several reviewers say Cherie is in it alot and it all sounded very positive.
Cherie was at the premier of the flick too so I assume she supports it!
Can't wait to get that DVD, 4 sure!

Gus, I'm busting at the seams to see that movie too! (almost literally....). It doesn't come out on dvd until August. I'm in NYC, and it's wierd to me that it wasn't out in the theaters for very long. Speaking of NYC, we sure could use a VISIT from the great CC!!!!!!! It's been TOO LONG!

Bohemian, I heard about it and looked for it, and only found other Bangles fans talking about Michael's comment, and "what does it mean?". I always get lost on that "Return Post" board... If i find it there, I'll let you know. "Happy Birthday Michael" kept coming up. I was so frustrated!
The comment was not on Return Post, but was on her bio page of the Official Bangles Site.
